Dance Intensive

A special program where leading choreographers teach professional dancers, makers and dance teachers

Danshuis Station Zuid presents a new concept in dance training. The first part: for dancers to maintain their professional level, we’ve asked Andrew Greenwood to teach ballet class twice a week. The second part: we’ve asked leading choreographers and teachers to participate in an intensive program that is all about innovation. Our goal is for dancers, choreographers and dance teachers to further develop their technique and their personality in order to make them even more complete artists.

26 - 30 March Judith Reyn, The Anatomical Awareness followed by a class by Andrew Greenwood After a long and impressive career as dancer with several leading companies, the Vienna State Opera asked Judith Reyn to be their classical ballet and repertoire teacher. That’s where she developed the unique workshop ‘The Anatomical Awareness’. The purpose of this workshop is to make teachers and dancers (classical ballet as well as contemporary dance) more aware of anatomy and kinesthesia in order to avoid injuries. Following this workshop Andrew Greenwood gives a classical class so students can directly implement their new knowledge.
