Fascinating Encounters: Profs go Amateur
One of the pillars
supporting Danshuis Station Zuid is the encounter between dance
professionals and amateurs. It has been proved many times before (for
instance in the participating DansWerkPlaatsen Brabant and in our Go
with that Flow projects) how inspiring these encounters are for both.
How they can act as an inspiration to each other in the exchange. These
encounters have consistently led to unexpectedly high-quality and
fascinating results. And they have always been a significant stimulus
for visiting dance performances. This is the reason why Danshuis
Station Zuid cherishes and stimulates these dance encounters. Danshuis
Station Zuid has included four formulas around its dance performances
in its ‘touring schedule’. Aside from these it also offers a number of
additional activities for true audience participation.

come to your venue bringing workshops/classes, during which amateurs
can step into our dancers’ and dance makers’ shoes. The workshop will

Workshop on the Go
Ninety minutes of lessons in dance technique
for amateurs at your venue, led by Danshuis Station Zuid’s dance
makers. Their basic material: dance idiom from the current performance.
