New Tracks Leading to New Audiences
The on-site presentation around our dance performances offers countless possibilities for unique encounters with dance for everyone, regardless of how experienced individual visitors are. Our Dance House is laying down new tracks leading to new audiences, young and vital. And as part of this, by presenting this new website, the Dance House is revealing its latest ‘itinerary’; an element to link the many fascinating tracks in dance.
At Home in Many Different Sections
Danshuis Station Zuid is a
partner in Tilburg City of Dance and receives funding from the Dutch
Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science, the provinces of
Noord-Brabant, Limburg and Zeeland, and the municipality of Tilburg. As
the prime artistic centre of the Southern Dutch region it aims at the
love of a creative journey in dance enthusiasts of all ages who each
want to shape or experience their own appreciation of dance. So,
Danshuis Station Zuid is not only at home in innovative theatre
productions with various constellations of professional dancers and
choreographers, but also in many other public sections that have dance
for the stage as their final destination.
Danshuis Station Zuid: A Junction in the Dance
One of Five
Danshuis Station Zuid was established in 2005 to win a place within the national and international fields of dance from its base in
the Dutch South. We have committed ourselves to reinforcing the dance
climate and its infrastructure, taking on a broad set of job
responsibilities – apart from producing dance we also focus on
education and promotion. As one of the five institutions in the
national basic cultural infrastructure, Danshuis Station Zuid provides
the Southern region with innovative dance repertoire. Innovation and
talent development are the leading priciples in creating a
high-quaility artistic product that will reach across the traditional
boundaries and that is developed in international cooperation. We aim
to find existing as well as new audiences for this product. Cultural
entrepreneurship is paramount.
