Dance Intensive

A special program where leading choreographers teach professional dancers, makers and dance teachers

Danshuis Station Zuid presents a new concept in dance training. The first part: for dancers to maintain their professional level, we’ve asked Andrew Greenwood to teach ballet class twice a week. The second part: we’ve asked leading choreographers and teachers to participate in an intensive program that is all about innovation. Our goal is for dancers, choreographers and dance teachers to further develop their technique and their personality in order to make them even more complete artists.

7 - 11 May Lode Devos, Knowledge of different Dynamics & audition This training is based on a traditional classical dance class combined with a special manner of training where the sense and sensibility should be connected to the knowledge of different dynamics. Devos’ process requires an intense participation of the dancers. They will be asked to be very active as interpreters and artists, which means that in this very way of working dancing goes far beyond than only executing the steps. The dancers will be stimulated to combine memory, physical speed and musicality in a positive environment.  He is also on the lookout for new dancers. It is a great opportunity to present yourself to a theatre director.
