Mirella Simoncini
Mirella Simoncini, at present artistic director for Summerschool Den Haag. She received her education at the Royal Balletschool of Antwerp and Nederlands Dans Theater. She is a dedicated freelance balletteacher and responsible for initiating the first international Summerschool in the city of the Hague, working with a.o. Yannick Boquin, Monique Sand, Lisa Drake (Cullberg Ballet) and Tamas Nagy and Charlotte Chapellier (Dutch National Ballet).
Repertory workshops by her include Coppelia, Giselle and Don Quichot for several schools and Swan Lake repertoire for the education department of Dr Anton Philipszaal/Lucent Danstheater.
Her classes (freelance as well as at her private school) are visited by students and dancers from Ecole Supèrieure de danse de Cannes Rosella Higthower (FR), International Dance Theatre, Nationale Ballet Academie Amsterdam, Opern Haus Halle Saale (GE), Royal Ballet School (GB), Royal Balletschool Antwerp (BE), Royal Conservatory The Hague, Szkola Baletowa Ogolnoksztalcaca,(PL) and Dutch Dance Academies Fontys, ArtEZ and Codarts.
She has been commited to the Inspiration Project as part of a Support Programme in The Hague; coaching young dancers into classical variations and collaborating with Keith-Derrick Randolph and Maurice Causey.
